3 February 2011With three months to go until the paperback of DAUGHTERS OF FORTUNE comes out in the UK, I thought I'd preview the new book jacket that my publishers have come up with. I absolutely adore this cover - I think the way the girl is running towards the maze draws the reader into the book, and reminds me of a grown up The Secret Garden. There was also a lovely preview of DAUGHTERS OF FORTUNE in The Bookseller on 28 Jan, under Ones to Watch, saying: "One of S&S' biggest books of the year, a glitzy saga of the backstabbing fashion industry, a good, old-fashioned, absorbing read. Highly recommended." The paperback is out in the UK on 12 May 2011, and to celebrate the launch, I'm currently having my website redesigned. I also hope to be able to share news on Book 2 soon - so far I can confirm that the provisional title is FALLEN ANGELS, and that it is due to be published in the US & Canada in August, and in the UK & Commonwealth in September.  |
